Bundle up and mark your calendars! The beloved McCall Winter Carnival is back and bigger than ever, running January 30 – February 8, 2026 in picturesque downtown McCall, Idaho. This cherished community tradition, first celebrated in 1924, transforms the snowy streets and Payette Lake shoreline into a bustling winter wonderland full of fun, creativity, and festive spirit.

The official theme for 2026 is “Where in the World is Sharlie?” a playful nod to McCall’s legendary lake creature and a great prompt for creativity in snow sculptures, costumes, and parade entries.  Whether you’re crafting a float, cheering on your favorite sculpture, or simply sipping a warm drink by the firepit, there’s something magical for every age and interest.
