Each year Hearthstone completes a lengthy list of planned refurbishment and maintenance projects with the goal of keeping homes in like-new condition and this year was no exception!
Smarter TVs and Network Upgrade
Earlier this year the living room entertainment systems were upgraded in all homes resulting in a superior viewing experience. The new 43″ Samsung 4K Ultra HD TV features top of the line picture quality and built-in applications like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. New home theater receivers and speakers were also added providing excellent surround sound with Bluetooth capability. Owners are also enjoying faster wireless internet speeds and a more dependable connection courtesy of the new internet equipment installed in all homes.
Thinking Ahead
Several of the appliances in various homes have lasted well beyond their expected life and we have begun a two-year process of preventatively replacing all remaining original refrigerators and washing machines with newer models.
Clean and Cozy
Regularly scheduled refurbishment continued as homes 3-6 received a professional coat of interior paint this spring while our maintenance team touched up paint within the remaining homes. Each home has been thoroughly deep cleaned by the housekeeping team and professional carpet cleaning occurred throughout the homes. Kitchen supplies and linen inventories were restocked as needed – just ask for any items you need to make your stay extra special!
Outdoor Elements
Hearthstone owners and guests can relax and enjoy the new patio furniture sets and Weber grills purchased this spring for several of the homes. New front porch decking was installed on homes 16 and 18 while a professional painter gave the exteriors of homes 3-6 a fresh coat of paint. Hearthstone also enlisted the services of a local landscaping company to make sure our homes and grounds look flawless this season!
Keeping Your Ownership Worry-Free
Record snowfall at Hearthstone and in and around McCall established the 2018-19 season as one of the biggest winters in the last 10 years. The Hearthstone team was dedicated to keeping the homes and surrounding property safe. This included hundreds of hours of walkway snow removal by the maintenance team along with rooftop snow removal and creative efforts by our snow plow contractor. Our homes and property remained structurally secure and thanks to our skilled maintenance team, gutters, siding and even a street lamp damaged by the snow and ice have all been replaced.
As a reminder twenty two percent of your annual assessment is dedicated to Capital Reserves and used, with approval from the Board of Directors, to fund all of these refurbishment projects and more, ensuring Hearthstone’s reputation as a well-cared for property!
